In line with the PAA’s objective to continually support the development of the Filipino artists knowledge and creative skills, it was deemed fit to include Art Clinics into the competition’s regional launches.

The art clinics were conducted by UP Professor and Vargas Museum Curator Dr. Patrick D. Flores, Phd.  The art clinics centered on the different “Contexts of Contemporary Art” using artworks from winners of the Philippine Art Awards as well as works by notable artists from the ASEAN region.

The art clinics were greatly appreciated by the artists as it served to increase their knowledge about contemporary art and at the same time updated them on the movements in the contemporary scene of our ASEAN neighbors.
